The Events Assistant for the Office of Space Planning and Management at The Ohio State University College of Medicine is a member of a team of professionals that supports events being held in Hamilton Hall and other College of Medicine and Wexner Medical Center venues. Reporting to the Events and Venue Manager, they will work closely with the Audiovisual Production team, Facilities team, and student staff to produce high-quality, successful events for clients. The Events Assistant works with clients to map out their event objectives and requirements including but not limited to AV production, plans for food and beverage services, furniture setups, and vendor arrangements. They will assist with and coordinate setup, rearrangement, and teardown of event furniture according to the weekly event schedule. The Events Assistant will oversee and ensure smooth execution of assigned events, serve as contact for client needs before, during, and after events, and proactively work with event schedules and clients to determine upcoming event needs. The Events Assistant must be available to work evenings and weekends and have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
