Scope of Position 

The MR Division encompasses MR equipment located in University Hospital, East Hospital, James Cancer Hospital, and OSUWMC Ambulatory Imaging locations. The MR Division offers MR imaging services to inpatient, outpatient, and ER patient populations, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

 

Position Summary 

The MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging exams for the diagnosis and treatment of disease or injury.  In addition, this position will research implants for inpatient and outpatient population 80% of the time and will work in the MRI Department 20% of the time. The MRI Implant Specialist will provide patient education, help with risk vs benefit assessment to the Radiologist, and will perform quality assessment activities for the division, under the direction of the Imaging Supervisor/Manager. 

 

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography Certification and Ohio Department of Health Radiology License. Advanced Certification in Magnetic Resonance preferred. 0 years of relevant experience required. Previous experience preferred.
