Scope of Position
JamesCare for Life (JCFL) provides a broad range of educational outreach and supportive services for oncology patients, caregivers, families and the community, including education classes, support groups, nutrition programs, exercise, complimentary, art and music therapy. This position will assist with the administrative needs for the department as well as provide assistance during events, classes, conferences, etc. Must have demonstrated experience in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Power Point and Access. The department typically operates 8:00-5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, but evening and weekends may be required for execution of roles and responsibilities for classes and outreach activities.
Position Summary
The Student Assistant assists with administrative duties including registering participants for classes, events, and support groups, sending out reminders to participants, maintaining and updating the participant database, distributing and collecting class participant sign-in sheets and evaluations and recording statistical data from the information provided, answering phones, covering front desk, and assisting with other general office duties and projects. The Student Assistant also assist with programs, as needed, including setting-up and tearing-down and greeting and checking-in participants.
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled at The Ohio State University or another Central Ohio college or university.
