A blood bank technologist can get a lot of experience and knowledge about transfusion medicine while working here. While studying in the Ohio State medical technology program, I was also a student working in the Ohio State Blood Bank. Working there gave me a chance to see how a blood bank technologist prepares blood products for patient transfusions, and how to problem solve multiple antibodies.
