Each outpatient care location provides nationally ranked care in a convenient community setting for residents of central Ohio. With over 20 facilities, including Ohio State Outpatient Care New Albany, Dublin and Martha Morehouse, as well as our upcoming Powell location set to open in 2026, we have a variety of roles available for passionate health care professionals like you.

What is OSU Physicians (OSUP)?

OSUP is a multispecialty physician group that serves as the not-for-profit practice plan for the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. With more than 2,000 employees working at various outpatient care locations, each team member plays a critical role in providing exceptional patient experiences from start to finish. Additionally, OSUP offers comprehensive, cost-effective administrative and management services including billing, collections, revenue distribution and financial services to improve efficiency in practice operations for health care professional organizations.

If I work at an Outpatient Care Facility, would I be an employee of The Ohio State Health System?

Depending on the specialty/position, the employees can be hired into either the Wexner Medical Center or OSUP which offer different opportunities and benefits. This collaboration model exists in many of our different ambulatory sites and allows us to enhance patient care, coordinate across the practice plan on staffing needs and create a high-performing team.

What are the differences in benefits between working for the Health System and OSUP?

Both offer comprehensive benefits like health, retirement, tuition assistance, etc., but some differences in benefit packages do exist.

Do current employees need to apply the same way as outside candidates?

OSUP internal applicants should apply through OSUP’s internal ICIMS job board Ohio State Health System employees should apply internally through WorkDay. Internal candidates who want to seek employment with the other entity (for example, employed in the Ohio State Health system and want to move to OSUP) must apply as external applicants through the links above.
