Associate Manager, Library Public Services - Health Sciences Library

Functions as student manager in Public Services within the Health Sciences Library; manages team of 10–15 student employees; interviews students and makes employment decisions; trains, orients, schedules, and manages student employees; organizes and coordinates student employee workloads; conducts student employee performance management. Serves as on-site supervisor for evening and weekend Public Services operations; provides a high level of customer service that requires complex problem solving skills; performs circulation functions; provides basic reference assistance; performs database searches; instructs and educates customers in using library resources and equipment; performs Collections activities; assists in developing and implementing unit policies.

Flexibility in working days and times is required, evenings and weekends required.

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Required Qualifications

Customer service experience required; minimum 3 years of supervisory experience required; student employee supervisory experience preferred; academic library experience preferred.
