Scope of Position

 

The primary responsibility of a Cell Therapy Technologist Level 3 in the Cell Therapy Laboratory (CTL) is the preparation and characterization of cellular products used for therapeutic applications.  A Cell Therapy Technologist Level 3 must be proficient in all techniques commonly used in this laboratory, and these duties must be performed in compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and guidelines to ensure the highest possible quality cell product. The Cell Therapy Technologist Level 3 must have at least three years of clinical lab experience in cell therapy.

 

Position Summary

  • Standard lab operational hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm, with flexible shifts and some overtime required to accommodate cell processing needs

  • Evening and weekend on call hours are rotated among all CTL staff - the on call person is responsible for performing cell processing procedures and responding to equipment alarm situations that occur during hours they are on call.

 

Minimum Qualifications

For Hire: Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or biological science with MT certification and three years of prior experience in cell processing required. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problems solving skills, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and commitment to serving the needs of cancer patients required. Minimum of at least three years of clinical lab experience in cell therapy.
