Scope of Position:
The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center (OSUCCC) supports the research, education and clinical missions for cancer across the entire University and engages in active outreach activities to assure that the benefits of cancer research efforts improve outcomes for all populations in its catchment area (the state of Ohio). The OSUCCC provides direct support to faculty, infrastructure and operations in 12 colleges and administers nearly 450,000 square feet of space and 12 Shared Resources. The Director of Finance (Director) for the OSUCCC has responsibility and oversight of the OSUCCC accounting, purchasing, shared resources finance, and post-award grants management teams.
Position Summary:
The Director of Finance is a critical leader responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the key financial and operational priorities of the OSUCCC. The Director provides finance officer functions for the OSUCCC including monthly financial reporting and annual budget preparation. The Director provides strategic and operational leadership to the OSUCCC accounting, purchasing, shared resources finance, and post-award grants management teams. The Director partners with other finance teams within the Wexner Medical Center and the University to deliver high quality and timely delivery of service to all OSUCCC stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
For Hire:
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field required; advanced degree strongly preferred.
· Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible finance leadership experience, preferably within an academic medical center or similarly complex organization.
· Demonstrated success leading multiple finance teams or departments.
· Experience in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and enterprise-wide financial operations.
· Ability to thrive in a large, multidisciplinary, and collaborative environment.

· Demonstrates continued competency in all essential job functions.
· Engages in ongoing professional development to support excellence in leadership and financial management.
