Scope of Position

This position supports the Identity and Access Management (IAM) function within the OSUWMC IT Data Security team, with a primary focus on the Electronic Medical Record Accounts Team. The role is responsible for provisioning, maintaining, and decommissioning user access to the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system and related IT systems. The position ensures secure and compliant identity lifecycle management for OSUWMC employees, guests, and affiliates, contributing to the protection of patient data and operational integrity.

 

Position Summary

The EMR Accounts Team member provides centralized identity and access management services with a focus on Epic user account provisioning. This includes creating, modifying, and deactivating user accounts in Epic and managing access requests through ServiceNow, and ensuring compliance with internal and external audit requirements. The role requires independent execution of account lifecycle tasks while collaborating closely with IT teams, clinical departments, and compliance stakeholders. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential, as the position involves cross-functional coordination and participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and 2 years of experience in EMR access management or related IT support roles.
Proficiency in:

  • Epic user provisioning and decommissioning
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • ServiceNow ticketing and workflow systems
  • SQL for access auditing and reporting
  • PowerShell scripting
