Scope of Position

The Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute and James Care Comprehensive Breast Services are committed to providing the community/region with breast health services and to addressing the needs of populations in various health care delivery settings, such as corporate health. The Mammography and Satellite Mammography Departments fulfill key roles in the screening, diagnosis, and surveillance of breast abnormalities and cancers. These Departments provide patient care and supportive services with a focus on high quality imaging studies, efficient operations, and positive patient care outcomes. The teams collaborate effectively and efficiently with physicians, nurse practitioners/physician assistants, schedulers, volunteers, and nursing/administrative leaders.


Position Summary

The Manager will assist the Director of Clinical Operations with oversight of the breast imaging operations and staff at the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center as well as all James Care satellite sites and mobile mammography. The Manager is also responsible for managing, guiding, coaching, and evaluating the work performance of patient care staff in these sites. Demonstrates the technical competency necessary to oversee quality delivery of mammography services to corporate entities, health care facilities, physicians, individual patients, state and local governmental and community bodies. Liaises with Lead Technologists to maintain department compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. The Manager will work with other health care institutions, corporate representatives, community agencies, and outreach representatives to provide breast health services.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Science or related field of study. American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Ohio Department of Health Radiology License and one advanced registry required (Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Computed Tomography, Nuclear Med, Sonography). 5 years of relevant experience required.
