Internal Resource Pool (IRP) Occupational Therapist team members are licensed and certified professionals who work within a specific team structure to offer inpatient rehabilitation services. These services are offered primarily to the acute-care James Cancer Hospital CCCT. Services may be provided in other Rehabilitation Services Departments dependent upon departmental needs. Primary patient population served will be the CCCT oncology patient sites for patients who have disorders and conditions associated primarily with oncology. These may include, but are not limited to disorders involving brain, spinal cord injury, stroke, or other neurogenic disorders, orthopedic problems, amputations, or chronic pain. The oncology rehabilitation team members report to the rehabilitation manager or other leader as designated, and as part of the overall Rehabilitation Services Division structure. This position will require consistent weekday availability as well as intermittent weekend and holiday availability to meet patient coverage needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Occupational Therapist rehabilitation team members must be licensed or certified with the respective profession (occupational therapy), and meet the educational and/or certification requirements established by their professions. All academic degrees must have been granted from an accredited institution. Typically, one-two years experience working in a medical setting is preferred for all professionals hired. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of medical occupational therapy experience, preferably in the acute care hospital setting.
