Job Summary: The Physician provides licensed medical care including diagnosis, treatment (inclusive of surgery or pre/post-surgical care where appropriate), case management and clinical research. The Physician manages complex and sometimes unpredictable situations. The Physician must be competent in technical, clinical and surgical skills (where appropriate), cognitive and interpersonal skills required to serve those patients receiving the above mentioned services. The Physician is expected to practice within the established Medical Center and physician’s standards of practice (policies, procedures, protocols), and adhere to key results areas of the Medical Center.
Job Description:
The Havener Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at The Ohio State University is a growing practice. We are currently seeking applicants for a full-time clinician or clinician-scientist faculty position in the specialty area of Ocular Oncology. This is an open search for tenure or non-tenure track at the Assistant Professor level or higher, commensurate with experience. Faculty candidates will be responsible for patient care, research, and education primarily in our new OSU multi-specialty medical office buildings and surgical suites in the metro Columbus area. Participation in coverage at Columbus VA is also required.
Required Qualifications: Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), board certified or board eligible in specialization required. State of Ohio and DEA licensure required.
