Scope of Position 

Under the direction of the Strategic Partnerships and Advocacy Manager, the OSU Partnerships Coordinator, Rural and Appalachian Health Extension (RAHE) provides support for the development of partnerships with the Ohio State Community including campus groups, colleges, departments and student groups.

Position Summary

The OSU Partnerships Coordinator participates in the development of internal and external partnerships and is accountable for leading campus relationships for the Appalachian and Rural Center for Health. This position will manage relationships with other departments and colleges.

Duties and Responsibilities

75% Operational Direction

  • Partner with ARCH team members to establish goals, objectives and operational plans annually to support growth of on campus partnerships that advance the goals of ARCH
  • Participate and represent ARCH at various meetings and events
  • Plan, coordinate and promote campus events
  • Maintain appropriate communication with faculty, staff, and learners concerning activities of clubs, organizations, and special events
  • Collaborate with the Office of Academic Affairs and among Ohio State’s campuses and colleges to support university efforts to create and sustain quality experiential learning opportunities with rural and Appalachian healthcare providers
  • Coordinate events and activities within OSU and community organizations as appropriate
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with faculty, staff, learners and stakeholders from across Ohio State’s campuses to inform their work and connect them to the needs of the communities served by healthcare extension
  • Cultivate long-term relationships to support outreach and programmatic roles
  • Collaborate with campus departments to align strategic goals
  • Participate in the Engagement Leaders Advisory Council with the Office of Academic Affairs

20% Strategic & Administrative Direction

  • Guides the development of relationships with other departments, colleges, and campus groups
  • Reviews and provides administrative and operational reports as requested
  • Contributes to a culture that focuses on customer service, staff participation, collaboration, motivation and effective communication
  • Stays abreast of state and national trends and issues related to assigned areas and considers how these things affect current and future operations
  • Monitors trends in higher education and identifies new partnership opportunities

5% other duties assigned by Administrator

Minimum Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable. 4 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
