Position Summary

Post Doctoral Scholar to implement clinical interventions with people with cancer under the supervision of Dr. Sharla Wells-Di Gregorio. The primary study involves implementation of a combined mHealth-telehealth symptom cluster (sleep, worry-anxiety, fatigue, depression) intervention for people with advanced cancer (1R01CA281885-04A1). This study will also examine immune and hormonal biomarkers that affect symptom clustering. The second involves a brief telehealth intervention with people with pancreatic cancer. Post Doctoral Scholar will collaborate with Dr. Wells-Di Gregorio on manuscripts, grants, and presentations. Additional responsibilities will include data management and analyses, collaboration with biomedical labs, and teaching/supervision of research staff. Postdoctoral researchers have the option to obtain additional clinical hours toward licensure if desired. 

Job Requirements

Ph.D. in clinical psychology with training or experience in health psychology.

  • Basic statistical analyses

  • Cognitive-behavioral therapy knowledge or experience 

  • Acceptance and commitment therapy knowledge or experience 

  • Research publication 

  • Health equity knowledge will be helpful, especially in working with rural populations 

  • Psychoneuroimmunology knowledge helpful, but not required
