Position Summary

We are recruiting a Postdoctoral Scholar to join the AquOTic Research Team - a leading lab focused on occupational therapy-based water competency intervention for children on the autism spectrum and other developmental conditions. This exciting opportunity offers:

  • Leadership in clinical trial coordination, including oversight of intervention fidelity, participant recruitment, and regulatory compliance.

  • Active involvement in manuscript development, and contributing to peer-reviewed publications.

  • Hands-on engagement in data collection and quantitative analysis, including management of behavioral and cognitive measures.

  • Direct implementation of the AquOTic therapeutic protocol, delivering weekly evidence-based aquOTic sessions and conducting individualized assessments.

This role provides high-quality mentorship and training in clinical research, grant writing, and methodological rigor, and is ideal for candidates aiming for careers in translational intervention science. The Post Doctoral Scholar will work closely with occupational therapists and investigators in a collaborative setting.  

Job Requirements

PhD/OTD/ScD/EdD in Occupational Therapy/Rehabilitation Sciences or related field. Familiarity with the ethical conduct of human subjects research desired. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Comfort and competence in water-based environments are required, as the position involves direct participation in the AquOTic intervention, including supporting children in a pool setting.
