The Ohio State University is actively seeking a motivated and talented Postdoctoral Scholar to join our research team in the Bonet-Ponce lab, within the Neurology Department. As a Postdoctoral Scholar at one of the nation's leading research institutions, you will have the unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects aimed at advancing the field. The Postdoctoral Scholar will work on ongoing grant-funded projects broadly centered around lysosomal membrane damage in Parkinson’s disease. The selected candidate will apply cutting-edge technology, including high-end microscopy, unbiased screening strategies, organelle isolation and gene editing in iPSC-derived cellular models. The position is ideal for someone hoping to be involved in grant-funded research as well as increase their publication record during postdoc and launch an independent research career, with responsibilities including leading innovative research studies, ethically collecting and analyzing multi-modality assessment data, preparing research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. A Ph.D. cell biology, molecular biology, neuroscience, or a related field is required, along with strong research and data analysis skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a commitment to ethical research and diversity. Minimum Education Required Additional Education Desired Required Qualifications To be considered for this Postdoctoral Scholar position, candidates must possess a Ph.D. in cell biology, molecular biology, neuroscience, or a related field, or a closely related field. We require applicants to demonstrate strong research skills, data analysis proficiency, and statistical expertise, coupled with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Successful candidates will have a proven ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams while also showcasing independent research capabilities and a strong trajectory towards research productivity, including peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations. Finally, all applicants must adhere to strict ethical research principles and maintain a commitment to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of their work.
