Student IT Assistant - Comprehensive Cancer Center

Under direct supervision, the student IT assistant will support and assist with imaging PCs as well as macs, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

Duties Include:

  • Assists with light data entry

  • Assists users with random computer issues

  • May be requested to assist with various administrative projects including distribution of pamphlets and mass mailings

  • Performs basic clerical duties including copying, filing and answering phones.

This position requires regular lifting of heavy computer equipment up to 25 pounds. Student must be able to work 15-20 hours/week and be available to work this summer.  Work schedules are flexible and change according to students class schedule each semester.   
 
Education and Experience:

  • Student must be enrolled in a degree-granting program at OSU

  • Previous work experience and/or related coursework desired

  • Some basic knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as knowledge of Microsoft Office, preferred.

  • Requires successful completion of a background check; selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
