Scope of Position     

The Special Functions lab performs routine and highly complex testing in autoimmune, infectious diseases, tumor markers, hormones, special hematology and proteins. The department is staffed 16 hours, Monday through Friday and Saturday and Sunday approximately from 7:00 am to 3:30.

Position Summary     

This is Student Med Tech position and will be working in the Special Functions as needed.  The student will be required to assist with helping to find, sort, aliquot and rack patient samples. Also fill supplies, filing and other miscellaneous duties as assigned. The student will work under the direction of the Lab manager, lead technologists and medical technologists and medical laboratory technicians.

Minimum Qualifications

For Hire:  Enrolled in a four year or two year medical technology program with a preference of a junior status.
