Administrative Assistant for the Accelerate Research Group (ARG) within the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in the Department of Internal Medicine. The Administrative Assistant provides high-level support to group leaders to ensure smooth execution of day-to-day operations and guides strategic planning for the group by performing a variety of administrative tasks to assigned faculty, administrators, and programs, academic, and research missions. Administrative Assistant coordinates and maintains calendars for the group and faculty; schedules and coordinates meetings, conferences, educational programs, and special events including logistics; attends, records, and distributes minutes of meetings; manages national and international travel coordination; collects receipts, prepares requests for, and tracks reimbursement of expenses in Workday; drafts and prepares correspondence for group leaders; prepares reports, tables, and slides for presentations; assists with preparation of grant applications, manuscripts, and research reports ; assists faculty with preparation of credentialing and promotion & tenure documents; updates CV (curriculum vitae); serves as liaison for investigators, administration, and external customers and organizations; opens, screens and distributes mail; manage office inventory; performs other duties and special projects as assigned, including supporting operations staff with screening and onboarding of student volunteers and leading the planning and operation of the ARG Summer Research program.

 

Minimum Education and Skills/Experience Required/Desired

Per CCS Specifications; six months experience (600 hours training) using computers to generate a variety of materials ranging from basic to complex; six months experience (600 hours course work) in office practices and procedures; six months experience (600 hours course work) in customer service. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be asked to complete a re-employment physical including a drug screen.
