The program coordinator will coordinate and assist with all aspects of the Department of Neurology & Medical Student Training Program as directed by the Medical Student Program Director and the Department Administrator. The Program Specialist interfaces with other program directors, monitors medical student activities, assists reviews & updates program curricula; plans & supervises scheduling of events participates in establishing policies & implementation monitors deadlines and requirements assists with site review; attends program coordinator meetings collaborates with GME office; creates affiliation agreements; obtains educational initiatives; evaluates & authorizes payments; manages program finances functions as resource for medical students; manages faculty teaching evaluations; distributes collects summarizes & maintains evaluations presents data to medical student program director develops survey & poll former medical students on training satisfaction verifies program completion for past medical students; supervises coordination of department orientation program for new medical students; assures new students receive hospital orientation; provides relocation & housing info initiates medical staff credentialing process for initial appointment and reappointment;
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Approximate job responsibility breakdown:
Departmental Grand Rounds and endowed lectureships coordination – 50%
Medical student program coordination – 25%
Event planning & coordination for department-wide events & Grand Rounds committee meeting - 15%
Mentorship committees for junior faculty – 10%
