Job Description
The Laboratory Research Operations Analyst provides professional technical and operational leadership within the Department of Neurology and the Bonet-Ponce lab This role supports laboratory operations, including the design, construction, and maintenance of specialized research equipment and experimental rigs. The individual applies industry knowledge to perform technical tasks, develop non‑routine protocols, and ensure full compliance with university, state, and federal regulations (including OSHA, EHS, and Export Control). The individual serves as a first point of contact on laboratory infrastructure and safety, collaborating closely with faculty and staff to support and implement research agendas. In addition, the individual provides general guidance and technical mentorship to students and junior personnel, reinforcing best practices and maintaining a high standard of operational excellence. Given the nature of laboratory operations, this position may require on‑call availability to address urgent issues, equipment failures, or time‑sensitive research needs. Prompt response is expected to ensure safety, continuity of operations, and protection of critical research assets.
Minimum Education & Experience Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred. Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
