Scope of Position
The Rehab Team Member is currently licensed to practice therapy in the State of Ohio. This individual will work within a team-oriented multi-disciplinary rehabilitation program. These services are offered via outpatient service sites to patients who have disorders and conditions associated primarily with orthopedic and sports injuries. The rehabilitation team members report to the rehabilitation clinic manager as part of the Ambulatory Rehabilitation Services structure.
Position Summary
The Sports Medicine Rehab Physical Therapist is currently licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Ohio. This individual will work within a team-oriented sports medicine rehabilitation program. These services are offered via outpatient service sites to patients who have disorders and conditions associated primarily with orthopedic and sports-related injuries. The sports medicine team members report to the rehabilitation team leader as part of the OSU Sports Medicine & Rehab program structure. Position initially would be shared between Outpatient Care Gahanna Sports Med, and Physical Therapy.
The Sports Medicine Physical Therapist works under the general supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation Services and under the direct supervision of the Clinic Manager. The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients in accordance with the laws and rules that govern the practice of physical therapy in the state of Ohio. Although team members report directly to a clinic manager, they are also responsible to each other, to those they supervise (rehab assistants and athletic trainers) and to other participants included in the patient care activities.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
All Physical Therapist team members must hold current licensure with the State of Ohio, the Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Athletic Training Board. All academic degrees must have been granted from an accredited institution. Current American Heart Association BLS certification preferred.
