Physical Therapy Assistant

Under the general supervision of the Team Leader and Director of MSK Rehab and the clinical supervision of individual physical therapists, the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides treatment according to a physical therapy plan of care. The PTA treats patients in accordance with the laws and rules that govern the practice of physical therapy in the state of Ohio.

The PTA in the Musculoskeletal Rehab Department, provides physical therapy interventions for a patient population comprised predominantly of active individuals with orthopedic conditions.

Minimum Qualifications

All Rehab Team Members must hold current licensure with the State of Ohio Physical Therapy Assistant Board or the Ohio, and meet the educational and/or certification requirements established by their professions.  All academic degrees must have been granted from an accredited institution.  Current American Heart Association BLS certification preferred.
