Scope/Summary:
The Researcher 2 will function as a technical expert in CAR-T cell development in the laboratory of Dr. Wing Chan. The successful candidate will build a translational pipeline to bridge patient biology to manufacturable cell therapy products; duties include patient sample processing, development of advanced tumor models (PDX, PDO, PDOX), and facilitating viral and non-viral in vivo CAR-T development.
The candidate also monitors and enforces laboratory safety procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, as well as local, state and federal regulations, including proper disposal and maintenance of regulated materials; provides scientific guidance and technical expertise to undergraduate students, graduate students, post-doctoral fellow, and staff; manages daily operations of the laboratory; oversees and initiates procurement of lab supplies and equipment; negotiates and oversees equipment repairs; establishes relationships and develops collaborations with other laboratories; mentors and trains research personnel as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree or equivalent experience required; 3 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree, or 1 year of relevant experience required with Master's Degree.
Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
