Position Summary 

As member of the OSUWMC IT Portfolio Management Office, the Senior Project Manager serves as a leader of interdisciplinary programs/projects on an enterprise level. The Senior Project Manager works with executive management across the health system and determines how technology can assist in addressing the needs of the enterprise; then translates these needs into system requirements and design specifications. The Senior Project Manager understands how to leverage the integration of applications, systems and technology for competitive advantage and coordinates dynamic teams of individuals who meet business objectives, schedules and outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

For Hire

-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related disciplines or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

-Master’s preferred

Four (4+) years experience of formal project leadership with various project lifecycle methodologies (waterfall, agile, iterative, etc.) required

-Experience in previous IT management role preferred.

-PMP certification preferred, but not required

-Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees, peers, executive leadership, customers, vendors and others.

-Demonstrated expertise of building consensus across diverse business groups and leaders, and influencing successful outcomes.

-Strategic thinking with ability to combine broad business, technical and political factors.

-Deep understanding of program and project management across multiple industries;

-Consistent exercise of judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

-Budget management experience.

-Possess expert knowledge in schedule management.

-Possesses expert knowledge in various vertical industries and conveys knowledge to others.

-Pursues excellence in all aspects of business.

-Ability to stay current on IT and Healthcare technology trends.

-Maintains PMI certification through participation in industry sponsors activities, conferences and events.

-Maintains OSUWMC directed computer based learning on an annual basis.
